Affecting primarily people over 70 and more at risk if they have other health issues. Every year thousands die from the same family of virus in the nasty cold and the complications from it. At the same time if someone you know and care for dies from it there is little consolation in knowing facts about infection case rates and infection case mortality rates. The question is how much does life worldwide has to be changed for a nasty virus with a 2 to 3 mortality rate in a limited sector of the population. Finally the issue is not the disease so much but the fact that rational opinions diverging from the induced panic are not allowed and are actually actively censored.
